I’m not a fan of horses or horse racing (though admittedly Secretariat was quite spectacular). But this year’s Run for the Roses annual friendraiser for Theatre L’Homme Dieu at Carlos Creek Winery was blessed with an amazingly entertaining Kentuck Derby . . .

The best thing about the Kentucky Derby is that it is only two minutes long. It is the quickest event in sports, except for Sumo-wrestling & Mike Tyson fights. Maybe Drag-racing is quicker, but I have never been attracted to it. ~ Hunter S. Thompson
